Art direction and practical effects: A sleepwalking world built through practical and in-camera effects. real ice cubes form a continuous trail. A dotted line extends through the landscape, a physical thread through the dreamworld that grows as the ice goddess dances. mirrors, collage, veiled fabric and camera tricks distort space and make objects appear and disappear.

MOVEMENT AND SOUND: created in collaboration with a dancer and a composer. voiced and wrote the audio narration over the original score to build the film’s dreamlike rhythm and sense of disorientation.

PROCESS: arranging a trail of ice cubes before filming.
