art direction and fabrication: I turned a private space into a public art intervention for a performance called “rearrangement” hosted by standard projects. i fabricated fifty wire hangers, miniature to oversized, which held handmade cloth shadow shapes of everyday objects. domestic miniatures such as a tv and stove were placed among full-size appliances. furniture was rearranged; a giant dresser sat askew in the kitchen with one leg sawed off— as if it landed from the sky. black and white signage and striped costumes echoed the visual language of silent film.
